Denver weather
What kind of
weather
should you expect in Denver during Warpstock? Locals say Fall is a particularly
delightful time to visit the city and make day excursions to the mountains to
view the colorful changing of the aspens, an event that takes place from
mid-September until mid-October.
The average high temperature in October is 66F/19C and the average low is 36F/2C.
The likelihood of snow in October is rather low, although it can snow in Denver
any month of the year except July and August.
Getting to the hotel from the Airport
Take Interstate 70 West to Interstate 25 South and exit onto Arapahoe Road
(Exit 197). Turn left onto Arapahoe Road and go past two lights. Turn right
onto South Clinton Street.
Transportation to and from the airport is $32 on a shuttle that runs every
30 minutes.
Attatched
, is a coupon for $2 off the regular shuttle price.
Transit information
The hotel provides a free shuttle for anywhere within a 5 mile radius. There is a
very nice shopping area nearby for those that still have money left. For example,
the Park Meadows mall is designed to resemble a ski resort or hunting lodge, with
a 120-ft-high log-beam ceiling anchored by two massive stone fireplaces, leather
chairs and sofas for relaxing throughout the mall, and an indoor waterfall. On
snowy days, "ambassadors" scrape your windshield while free hot chocolate is
served inside.
Getting into Denver from the hotel
The hotel is right off of I25 in the Denver Tech Center. Get on I25, head north
about 8 - 9 miles and exit onto Broadway. Head north on Broadway - that takes
you directly into downtown.
In the downtown section of Denver all the streets are turned 45 degrees from
the normal north/south - east/west orientation. This was done to give two sides
of the buildings in downtown mountain views to the west. It can be confusing
so watch out when you get there.
