million Denver Public Library opened in 1995 was designed by Michael
Graves. The library features 47 miles of bookshelves and 5 million
items, rankimg it as one of the largest libraries in the United
States. The Western history collection is the largest of its kind in

Colorado Convention Center opened in 1990 and is in the process of an
expansion that will double its size by late 2003. The center

7. Larimer Square is a restored section of Denver's oldest street in a
section of the downtown that is now called 'LoDo,' short for Lower

nation under one roof and second in seatimg capacity only to New
York's Lincoln Center. The PLEX, as it is known locally, has nine
