I am very proud to announce a new Warpstock Logo, designed by Christopher Wright of "Help Desk" (http://www.os2ezine.com/helpdesk/) fame. As we approach the final countdown to Warpstock'98 we have sharpened our focus on our presentations and exhibitors at Warpstock and we feel that this new logo is a reflection of that new focus. A new large logo and banner logos(http://www.warpstock.org/use_logo.html)
that are in the same graphic style are available for web sites to use as a link
with ours. We are very grateful for the links that we already have and hope that
we can increase the number of them in the upcoming weeks. Warpstock Status Warpstock is well ahead of last year's preparations and if last
year is a guide line we believe that we will exceed '97's attendance figures. We
already have more vendors. We still have 5 main floor slots for vendors available,
and we urge vendors that are considering to show at Warpstock, but have not yet
registered; please do so (http://www.warpstock.org/exspeak.html). At last year's
Warpstock some vendors found that they didn't bring enough supplies or goods to
sell to the crowd. Remember that Warpstock is a non-profit event in more than just
the legal terms of the word. If you want to continue to see this type of event (BY
OS/2 users, and FOR OS/2 users), then you have to make the pilgrimage to Chicago.
But before you can begin your adventure, you need a registration and a reservation.
Please, take a moment to register and to make your lodging arrangements now, and
ask everyone you know that they do the same. Warpstock is not about individuals,
but about our community and how those individuals contribute to that community's
well being. Looking forward to seeing you in October! Stan Sidlov
