October has the best weather the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. Most often
it is one of the warmest of the year with relatively little fog. The daily high
will be 68 - 72 degrees F, a light wind and sunny to partly cloudy. There will be
50-100 mile visibility, with very little air pollution. Night will be 45 - 50 degrees
F with no wind, and no rain. City lights will limit stargazing. Have a sweater and
a windbreaker handy; you probably won't need anything heavier.
